Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna says he is more than happy to share the right back position at the club with Pablo Zabaleta.

Sagna joined City from Arsenal at the start of the season but has been reduced to a largely fringe role at the club due to the presence of Zabaleta.

However, Sagna told the Manchester Evening News, "I'm happy because I came to the champions. Zabaleta's been here for a long time, he's a great player.

"For me and for the manager it is maybe not easy to make the decision who's to start but every time I get to play I give the maximum for the team. I'm here to look forward and to progress and I think I did."
