Manchester City fullback Angelino insists there's no current thoughts about Sunday's showdown with Liverpool.

Angelino made his first league start for the champions as they scored late in the game to beat Southampton 2-1 – only to learn Liverpool had bagged two late goals to maintain their lead at the top.

Fans of both clubs are already looking ahead to the Anfield crunch, but Spanish youngster Angelino says the players are not.

“Our focus is on the Champions League now," said the left-back. “We know we have a very important week before the break so we have to stay positive and work hard for the next game, and then after doing our job in the week we will focus on Liverpool."
