Man City fan blasts Barcelona's "unprofessional" Neymar for diving

A Manchester City supporter believes Barcelona striker Neymar is an 'unprofessional' player. City fan Aziz Hammad accused the Brazilian of diving while he was sitting on the bench during the dying stages of Barcelona's 2-1 Champions League Round of 16 first leg win on Tuesday night.

Hammad motioned to Neymar with his hands that he was unhappy with the way the former Santos star was behaving on the pitch which prompted the player to confront him on the edge of the stands.

The reaction by Neymar suggested to Hammad that perhaps the 23-year old needs to get a thicker skin in order to deal with the inevitable flak he will cop from opposition fans throughout his career.

"It's part of football, it wasn't abuse," Hammad said to BlueMoonRisingTV.

"It's very unprofessional to come face to face with a fan and look like he was picking a fight."

Hammad went into further depth regarding the altercation with Neymar: "My first interaction with Neymar was when Messi missed the penalty - I made a diving gesture to the bench, just the same as everyone else.

"Neymar pointed and singled me out, he gestured for me to go towards him. I told him to come to me, the next thing final whistle blew.

"Neymar walked around towards me and came face to face. He said things in Portuguese but I don't speak Portuguese. Stewards told me I was in trouble and Neymar walked off. That was the end until the video was sent to me.

"I was just doing what everyone else was and I couldn't believe the reaction. Most players just ignore fan gestures and taunts."
