Manchester City are chasing Borussia Dortmund duo Mats Hummels and Neven Subotic.
The Sunday Mirror says City's top January target is a new central defender, with Borussia Dortmund's Hummels and Subotic high on their shopping list.
Hummels has also been watched by Manchester United chief scout Martin Ferguson for club and country this season.
