Man City eyeing Ajax fullback Tagliafico as Digne back-up option

Manchester City are hoping to sign Lucas Digne from Everton - but have another option if the transfer does not go through.

The Frenchman is a key target for Pep Guardiola, and he may make a move as early as January, per the Daily Mail.

But The Times claims Digne will be offered a new deal by Carlo Ancelotti's team to convince him to stay.

If he decides to commit to the Toffees, City will go for Ajax star Nicolas Tagliafico.

The Argentine is someone City have targeted for several years, and they may finally pull the trigger on the deal in the coming months.

Tagliafico is an experienced left back who has already played 17 games for Ajax in all competitions this season.

He was also linked to Chelsea in the summer before they secured Ben Chillwell from Leicester City.
