Manchester City defender Micah Richards is happy to see former teammate Danny Sturridge impressing for England U21s.

Sturridge controversially quit City last summer for Chelsea and has impressed for England U21 in the past week.

Richards told City's website: "I'm happy for Daniel - he made his choice to move to Chelsea and it was a difficult decision for him, but he's playing for the Under-21s and it's worked out for him, so I'm pleased."
