Valencia signing Eliaquim Mangala has opened up on his move from Manchester City.
Mangala joined Los Che last week on-loan and admits the decision was made after speaking with City manager Pep Guardiola.
"I talked with Pep, but there were a lot of players and he said he understood that I wanted to play and so there was no problem. I had many suitors to leave, but the call of the Valencia coach was key," said Mangala.
"The goal is that one speaks of FC Valencia every day in Europe. The fans deserve that we play in the Champions League. It was my destiny to come here.
"There were three opportunities and now it is the beginning of a great story with Valencia. I felt that I was an important player for the club. I spoke with the coach and he reminded me that this was the third time that Valencia wanted me, that was the key."
