Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte says the players are embracing their Champions League test against Real Madrid.

The two teams will meet in the round of 16, with City ranked outsiders to progress.

Laporte told Telefoot: "They are one of the best teams in the world today and I think they are favourites compared to the previous years in the Champions League for their experience.

"But afterwards, we have very big players, like them, we can hurt them too.

"It can be a very hotly contested confrontation!"
