Manchester City defender Eric Garcia is "surprised" and "disgusted" by Barcelona's attempts to revise their pre-contract agreement.
Available on a Bosman transfer, Garcia had agreed terms with the previous management team of Barca, resisting attempts from City to secure him to a new contract in the process.
However, Mundo Deportivo says new Barca president Joan Laporta, while wanting to bring the La Masia graduate back to the club, has demanded a revised contract offer be made to Garcia - for much less than the original agreement.
Garcia and his minders have received the request with "surprise and disgust".
The defender feels he has sacrificed everything to return to Barca and is adamant Laporta must keep the club's word over the contract previously agreed. For the moment, the player is determined not to soften his position.
