Manchester City defender Danilo hailed their seven goal performance for their Champions League thrashing of Schalke.

City move through to the quater-final stages of the competition after an emphatic 10-2 aggregate win over the German side.

Danilo said, "It was good to be honest. Me and the team we play quickly, with security. That's the way we have to keep going.

"For me it's not difficult to play there because my team-mates help me a lot. I'm here to help the team."

The Brazilian was then asked if there were any particular teams he wanted to avoid in the quarter-final draw which will be made on Friday 15 March, 11am GMT.

"We cannot choose a team, All the teams are so difficult so we have to keep our focus and keep working.

"Now is the most beautiful time of the season."
