Man City defender Clichy: England is a special place

Manchester City left-back Gael Clichy has called England a special place after the show of solidarity from the country in their friendly game against France on Tuesday.

70,000 fans paid their tributes to the victims of the Paris terror attacks by singing the French national anthem before the game at Wembley Stadium and the moment clearly had an impact on Frenchman Clichy.

"Seeing Wembley with the colours of France and the effort they did with the song, I was saying to my wife yesterday, I'm not surprised at all," said the 30-year-old.

"That's why when I retire I will live in England because this country is a special country for me and for anyone that lives here."
