Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte says they're determined to wrestle back the Premier League title next season.

Liverpool claimed their first league title in 30 years after Chelsea beat second-placed Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

At the final whistle, Laporte lamented: "Liverpool have won, so congratulations to them.

"They have done well. We need to improve, and maybe we can take first place back next year.

"It's never easy to accept, but we must see what happens next season."
