Man City deal in entire FA Youth Cup final squad

Manchester City have held onto their entire FA Youth Cup final squad for the new season.

The Manchester Evening News says it is believed that the signing up of six more of the youngsters involved in the penalty shoot-out defeat by Liverpool will make this the first season that an entire youth squad has been kept at the club.

City have awarded professional contracts to Ben Knight, Rowan McDonald, Alpha Diounkou, Gavin Bazunu, Cole Palmer and Taylor Harwood-Bellis while Lewis Fiorini – injured for the final - has also been kept on, along with youngsters Samson Robinson and Timi Sobowale.

And with the rest of the squad – most of them from the year above – already signed up, it means the Blues have kept a group which has shown promise from an early age.
