Man City could face Newcastle at Eithad despite possible demonstration

Manchester City and Newcastle United could be given the all clear to play their Premier League clash at City's home stadium.

There were some concerns that Newcastle's upcoming takeover from the Saudi royal family could have some impact on the game.

City are owned by a consortium from Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The City v Newcastle game is one of several that authorities wanted played at neutral venues.

However, the Daily Telegraph is reporting the game could still go ahead at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

Authorities are concerned about fans gathering outside stadiums, as these matches are set to take place behind closed doors.
