Man City chiefs block Leeds loan plans

Manchester City are pulling back from press claims they'll send their best youngsters on-loan to Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United.

Bielsa's arrival at Elland Road has sparked speculation that the Championship club could pick up a number of City's talents; the manager's relationship with City boss Pep Guardiola - the two have called each other the best coach in the world - has led to no fewer than five Blues linked with a Leeds loan.

However, the Manchester Evening News says whatever the relationship between Guardiola and Bielsa, the Blues have worked to develop their own links with clubs suited to developing their talent.

City have preferred to send their youngsters to different countries in recent years, using a number of Dutch clubs and making the most of their partnerships with NAC Breda and La Liga surprise package Girona.
