Man City chief Txiki made personal check on Benfica star Jovic

Manchester City are eyeing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic.

The Sun says City director of football Txiki Begiristain was on the guestlist at Estadio da Luz to watch Jovic play for Eintracht Frankfurt against parent club Benfica in the Europa League.

And the reports are bound to be positive - the 21-year-old scored against his employers five minutes before half-time.

Jovic, 21, has been in red-hot form in Bundesliga, scoring 17 goals in 26 games in the second season of his two-year loan.

He was allowed to play in the quarter-final clash in Lisbon and is expected to secure a big-money summer move as Barcelona and Bayern Munich are tracking his progress.
