Manchester City chief exec Ferran Soriano has called Real Madrid president Florentino Perez after questioning their Champions League triumph.
Speaking last week, Soriano claimed Real Madrid were fortunate to have won the title after their run to the final.
El Chiringuito says Soriano called Florentino to explain his comments and insisted he had been quoted out of context.
The former Barcelona chief had stated: "People talk today about the success that Real Madrid have had in recent years, and I think it would be fair to say that they had a little luck. Perhaps I could say that they deserved to lose against PSG, Chelsea, us or Liverpool.
"But people don't remember that in the 90s and 80s Madrid had a fantastic team, one of the best in history, with Butragueño and other players, and they couldn't win it."
