Man City boss Pellegrini won't rule out January striker signing

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini admits they could buy a new striker next month.

Despite UEFA Financial Fair Play sanctions limiting their transfer budget this season, City can still spend money and can raise more by selling players like Scott Sinclair and Matija Nastasic.

Pellegrini said: "I never close the possibility of any business in the transfer window if we can do anything to give us an advantage. If all the teams can do it, we can do it also.

"We will analyse what we are going to do. There were a lot of decisions why we loaned Alvaro to Valencia, one of them being that he was injured and couldn't play until the middle of November. That left us only six weeks before the window opened.

"In January we will see if we need to replace him or not. Now we are in that moment we are going to make the best decision for the club."
