Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is set to keep Joe Hart on the bench for their Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
The Daily Mail says Hart will continue his spell on the Manchester City bench for Tuesday's Champions League game against CSKA Moscow after Pellegrini gave his backing to new No 1 Costel Pantilimon.
The Romanian was rarely troubled during City's 7-0 slaughter of Norwich but impressed when he was called upon, notably producing a fine fingertip save to deny Anthony Pilkington. It left the City manager unwilling to speculate as to when Hart might return.
"It's not a problem," said Pellegrini. "For the moment we must support Costel Pantilimon. Joe made a lot of mistakes, he knows. So I think for Joe it is a good moment to stop. I am sure that working hard he will return to normal, but I don't know when. I have confidence in Costel. If I don't have trust in him I will change it."
