Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini admits he still has ambitions to coach Italy.
Mancini is confident that "sooner or later" he will take charge of his national team.
Asked if he was approached about succeeding Marcello Lippi, Mancini revealed: "No, no-one called me. I must admit, I do not know what I would have said if they had called.
"One day I want to coach Italy. Sooner or later it will happen."
