Manchester City are scrambling to stay in the hunt for Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez.
The Telegraph says City are vying with Barcelona, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Juventus to sign Sánchez, but the 22 year-old has publicly admitted his desire to sign for Barcelona, though Udinese president Franco Soldati insisted last night that no deal had yet been reached between the two clubs.
Soldati denied quotes attributed to him in Chile in which he had supposedly suggested that personal terms had been agreed between Barcelona and the player.
City are prepared to match Udinese's £35million valuation of Sánchez, but manager Roberto Mancini is understood to have accepted that the player views a move to Barcelona or Inter ahead of City.
