Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is convinced Robinho will be a major star next season.

"He is happy here and says that on a daily basis," Hughes said.

"Robinho is back scoring as well and that is obviously making him very happy.

"He has had a good season, there is always going to be periods in your first season as a player new to a league coming in, that you can make a huge impact initially and there is a leveling out. He is finishing strongly now.

"He will benefit from the season he has had. He is enjoying his experience in The Premier League and it is a different and stronger league than he has been used to and the intensity on a weekly basis is higher.

"He has this knowledge now so we hope next season that he will go on to bigger and better things."
