Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is backing Xavi to be a future Barcelona coach.
The Barca legend is currently in charge of Al Sadd.
Guardiola told Catalunya: “Xavi was already a coach when he played, his eyes shine watching football. He will be a safe coach. There are people who have played and you would never say that they would become coaches. He is not the case.
"Xavi can train wherever he wants, not just at Barça. You have to give him time. Sooner or later he will arrive at Barça.
"He's very young. He knows football, he sees it, he has passion, dedication, he is brave and daring and he also says things clearly. I would be excited to see him coach Barça. Above all, he likes to train and looks at everything."
