Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola expects to be active in the January market.
The Manchester Evening News says Guardiola's Premier League leaders are unbeaten this season and made it 10 wins in a row with the 2-1 victory against Napoli on Tuesday.
But the Catalan fears his side could be left short at left-back, following Benjamin Mendy's knee ligament injury.
Napoli's Faouzi Ghoulam is on City's radar - as is Southampton's Ryan Bertrand and Aaron Martin of Espanyol.
And he still believes he needs reinforcements in attack - despite scoring 39 goals in 12 games this season.
