Man City boss Guardiola urges Laporta to stay Dutch if Barcelona must axe Koeman

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is urging Barcelona to stay Dutch if they're to remove coach Ronald Koeman.

After their home humbling by Champions League opponents Bayern Munich and publicly criticising president Joan Laporta, Koeman's future at Barca is on shaky ground.

Indeed, it's been suggested Koeman has the next three LaLiga games to save his job.

Meanwhile, El Nacional via Le 10 Sport says Laporta has sought out Guardiola for advice and the Catalan has suggested Ajax coach Erik ten Hag as a replacement.

Guardiola urged Laporta at the end of last season to stick with Koeman.

Barca return to action tonight in the LaLiga against Granada - their first appearance since the Bayern thumping.

Guardiola is close to Laporta, having been given his coaching break by the Barca president during his previous time in charge of the club. Guardiola would have a year in charge of Barca B before being promoted as first team coach.
