Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was coy when asked if Liverpool are jealous of their Premier League success.

The Citizens retained the title but Liverpool won the Champions League for the sixth time in their history in Madrid a month later.

“To win the league in England is very hard," Guardiola said.

“The test is that it is the first time in 11 years that a team has repeated a league win, which Barcelona has done many times.

“By contrast, Liverpool have not won the league for 30 years, and we all saw what Liverpool are this year."
