Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has eased talk of a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.

In Spain this week, it was suggested City were willing to meet his €150m buyout clause.

But City manager Pep Guardiola has scuppered those rumours.

He said, “He is a fantastic player but we are not interested in him.

"He is an Atletico player and will stay there for a long time."
