Man City boss Guardiola: No disaster if I don't win Champions League here

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists it'll be no "disaster" if he fails to bring the Champions League trophy to the club.

Guardiola has so far failed to deliver the trophy at City, despite winning two Premier League titles, two League Cups and one FA Cup.

Asked if European success was the next step for City, having dominated English football for the past two seasons, Guardiola said: "Yeah, definitely, but sometimes it cannot be possible.

"Sometimes you take a few years and sometimes you take one year. Barcelona is my club in my heart and 1992 was the first one [European Cup] and Barcelona was born a long time ago.

"The important games, the decisions, many games, the influence. But I'm sorry, I'm not going to live the next 10 months thinking if I don't win the Champions League it would be a disaster, because my life is quite good."
