Man City boss Guardiola: Neymar would've won 2-3 Champions Leagues with Barcelona

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has spoken of his great admiration for Neymar.

City meet Neymar and PSG in the first-leg of their Champions League semifinal tomorrow night.

Guardiola first came across Neymar in the 2011 Club World Cup when he was only 19 and still at Santos.

Even then, Guardiola knew Neymar would be a star - and he is convinced if the Brazilian number 10 had stayed at Barcelona rather than join PSG in 2017 they would have won in Europe more often.

"I remember against Santos, all the players were open mouthed. He is a joy to watch as a spectator.

"He has Brazil on his shoulders and the number 10 shirt is not easy to wear.

"I'm pretty sure if he'd stayed in Barca they'd have won two or three Champions Leagues more."
