Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has dismissed claims of the derby with Manchester United being the biggest game in Europe.

Guardiola insists there's a better atmosphere in Spain for the El Clasico.

"All the derbies are special," Guardiola said. "In Spain there is more noise than here. It's special here.

"We (Guardiola and Jose Mourinho) are both good guys. More than you expect. It's much better, believe me."

Pressed on whether this is the most important clash of City's campaign, Guardiola replied: "No. No, no, no. Games against the contenders are special because if you win they don't win but we are in November.

"Maybe the game at Old Trafford will be more important. We're on a good run, United as well. No team controls the game for 90 minutes."
