Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola made a special request to his Liverpool counterpart Jurgen Klopp.

The two top managers in the Premier League are vying for another title this season, with Klopp's Reds looking to have the advantage.

The Spaniard joked that since Liverpool were desperate for a Premier League title, and his side want the Champions League very badly, they could swap trophies!

When talking with Klopp at the recent Football Writers' Association Awards Dinner, Guardiola joked about the trophy exchange: "maybe we can swap?"

City are facing an uphill battle to win their third Premier League title in a row, as they are nine points behind the leaders Liverpool.

But Guardiola will be hoping his side can go all the way in the Champions League this season.
