Man City boss Guardiola includes young trio in Olympiakos squad

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has named several youngsters for their Champions League clash at Olympiakos.

The Manchester Evening News says Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne have been rested for Manchester City's Champions League game at Olympiacos.

The pair, who have been two of the players most used by Pep Guardiola this season, trained at the City Football Academy with the rest of the squad on Tuesday morning but did not travel with the Blues to Greece as the manager welcomes back Fernandinho, Aleks Zinchenko and Benjamin Mendy into his group.

Felix Nmecha, Tommy Doyle, and Cole Palmer have travelled as part of the 23-man squad and will be at least on the bench on Wednesday night given UEFA allows 12 substitutes. Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Adrian Bernabe, and Liam Delap also trained with the group on Tuesday but have stayed in Manchester.

CITY SQUAD: Ederson, Steffen, Carson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Laporte, Garcia, Mendy, Zinchenko, Rodri, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Bernardo, Doyle, Foden, Nmecha, Palmer, Mahrez, Torres, Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Aguero
