Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is backing Leeds United to win promotion under manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa has Leeds top of the Championship table.

"I love him as a human. He trained me when I was young in an amazing way, and I feel his success as my own. I'm not involved in any way, but I like the people I like doing well," said Guardiola.

"I admire him as an Argentine manager who has been in big clubs, but yet is humble enough to go to a rich team like Leeds in the Championship to get them back in the Premier League. I wish him well, and hopefully Leeds will be in the Premier League next season. That would be good for the league."
