Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is adamant David Silva is one of the greats.

Guardiola says he did not think club captain David Silva would fit into the Premier League but is one of the best he's ever known.

“He is a technical player. My image from English football - maybe he will suffer here [England]. But I was happily happily wrong," Guardiola said, ahead of City's trip to face Bournemouth on Sunday.

“After I spoke with managers he had in Spain, they spoke good. I realised that when I came here. He's incredible. A winner."

Silva will be involved in his 400th game this weekend if he starts or comes on at Bournemouth.
