Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says they cannot underestimate Champions League opponents Borussia Monchengladbach.

City meet Gladbach later tonight in the first-leg of their round 16 tie.

Guardiola said: "We have to focus on what we have to do. We are in the Champions League. They play with short passes and they can also come into contact with their fast forwards with transitions.

"The German teams are as dangerous as ever. They come in with a lot of people in the box and of course the players in the middle know exactly what they have to do.

"They can change systems. I can't expect anything different. All teams deserve incredible respect. We will try to get a good result for the second leg and try to win."
