Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola hailed the performance of Kevin de Bruyne after victory over West Ham.
While admitting frustration with De Bruyne's contract talks, Guardiola was delighted with the Belgian's form on the day.
He said, "Our switch with Kevin is much better - he is unique in the world.
"We might be a bit calmer without Kevin. We have a little bit of patience. But that's not always what we want. Sometimes you need more passes. Bernardo has those qualities. One to four keys and then pass the ball.
"Kevin is different. He is a free spirit. More explosive in everything. And we can put that to good use. He sometimes sees things that others cannot see. He gives passes that others could never have performed. Everything depends on the opponent. Everything depends on the match. But they both have their qualities."
