Manchester City are keeping tabs on Napoli midfielder Allan.

Pep Guardiola does want a central midfielder to strengthen his squad, after failing to acquire one in the summer market.

And he sees Brazilian Allan as someone who could come in and provide competition to his countryman Fernandinho.

Calciomercato claim that it would be a tough negotiation, as Allan recently signed a five-year deal.

The 27-year-old would not come cheap, as he has improved even more under the management of Carlo Ancelotti this season.
