Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has told his players to fight on after defeat at home to Manchester United.
Saturday's result leaves the defending champions 14 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
"It doesn't matter if we are 10 or 14 or 25 points behind – we must continue," said Guardiola.
"We know the pace United have with Rashford and Martial – sometimes you can control it, sometimes you can't.
"We arrived in the final third many times and I was happy with how my team played, but we couldn't finish.
"We conceded four or five counter-attacks. We must try to improve how we control that."
