Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has played down the prospect of penning a new deal.

It's been suggested Guardiola had spoken to friends about committing for a further two years to keep him in the north-west until 2023.

Asked about it ahead of City's Champions League last-16 tie with Schalke, Guardiola said: "They know more than me.

"I have two more years and that's all. Many [reports] are not true but I cannot come here and deny everything or comment on everything. I'm going to be here for two more years hopefully and the future I don't know."
