Man City boss Guardiola defends struggling Jesus

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has faith in his struggling attacker Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian has not managed to get on the scoresheet since August, even though his team has scored 45 goals this season in the league.

The 21-year-old has one Premier League goal this season, along with one League Cup strike.

But he has managed three in three games in the UEFA Champions League. And he grabbed an assist for Riyad Mahrez as City managed a 2-1 win at Watford on Tuesday night.

"It's important he had the chances, creating the spaces, and the second goal he create for himself," said Guardiola to reporters after the game.

"[He] does many, many other things, in terms of the pressing, in terms of helping in many, many situations."
