Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hailed the attitude of Kevin de Bruyne.

Guardiola says there's no airs or graces about De Bruyne when it comes to his workrate off the ball.

He explained to AS: "We really need him. Kevin is one of the biggest stars in football at the moment and he runs as if he were a player from the Conference ranks.

"I prefer to have him ready and focused for Premier League matches. The other tournaments are important, but right now we are going to not be too far away at the top of the table.

"We will probably find our rhythm, and we will probably end up at the top of the table, hopefully with 8-10 games left of the league, so we can fight with the teams ahead of us to the last."
