Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says David Silva is over any fitness issues.

Any fears over a recurrence of the ankle problems which blighted Silva's campaign last season were quashed by Guardiola.

"David's had problems in the past, that's true," he said.

"He saw a doctor in Barcelona. I spoke to him, and he said that he feels perfect with his ankle."
