Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is in doubt to face Manchester United in Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at the Etihad.

The French defender made his return after five months on the sidelines in last week's win over Sheffield United, but was then left out of Sunday's win over Fulham.

And manager Pep Guardiola is wary of over-stretching the important centre-back.

"We have some doubts," the Catalan said ahead of a game in which they hold a 3-1 aggregate advantage.

"Tomorrow we have last tests and we will make a decision. The same doubts as before. Laporte is part of the doubts."
