Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is counting on Bernardo Silva's injury not being serious.

Guardiola hopes Silva can make a swift recovery after he was ruled out of the defeat to Tottenham in the Champions League.

“Bernardo couldn't play," he said in his post-match press conference.

“During the season there are injuries, there are problems and hopefully next week maybe Bernardo will be fit."

Benjamin Mendy also missed the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“Mendy after four or five months injured, playing last time then today it was too much," he said.
