Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has held talks with Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann.

The France international faces being sold this summer as Barca battle to find the funds necessary to secure Lionel Messi to a new contract.

Foot Mercato says City are keen as they seek a replacement for Sergio Aguero - now of Barca.

And it's been revealed Guardiola recently phoned Griezmann directly. The pair enjoy a good relationship and Guardiola registered City's interest with the striker.

The top priority for City remains Tottenham centre-forward Harry Kane. But if a deal doesn't happen, they will turn to Griezmann.
