Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he has total belief in Claudio Bravo ahead of Sunday's clash with Liverpool.

Ederson is hopeful he can recover from a thigh strain suffered in last night's 1-1 draw at Champions League opponents Atalanta.

But Bravo will deputise if Ederson doesn't recover in time. He endured a miserable night after being sent off for a professional foul on Josip Ilicic, with full-back Kyle Walker having to don the gloves.

Guardiola said: “He's ready to play on Sunday. It is what it is. If Ederson can play he will and if not it will be Claudio. That's all.

"I know him and why should I have doubts about him? We've had incredible situations to overcome and we'll have to do it now."
