Man City boss Guardiola admits knowing about 'team bonding dinner'

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola admits he knew his players organised a team bonding exercise following their 6-1 thrashing of Aston Villa.

But the Citizens boss said no more about the details of the night out, instead claiming the players were at a restaurant and that he likes it when they make plans outside of work.

"I knew [about] it," said manager Guardiola on Friday, ahead of City's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.

"When they have time, they make a lot of times dinner together, have time together with staff. I like it when they are together outside of here, at home, in a restaurant in this case, and it's nice."

Dagospia broke the news that Instagram models were flown in from Italy to party with City stars following their win at Villa Park.

The models and 'influences' were reportedly put up at the exclusive Mere Golf Resort & Spa hotel in Chesire.

Two Italian PR agencies purportedly flew the girls out to the venue in Knutsford, with the event allegedly months in the planning.

The Sun later reported that one Man City star was accosted by his partner when he arrived home at 7am on Monday.

A source told the paper: "His partner was absolutely furious with him for coming home so late and in a bit of a state.

"She fully expected him to let his hair down a bit, but she had no idea where he could have been until 7am on a Monday morning."
