Departing AS Roma legend Daniele de Rossi is being offered a place at Manchester City.

Calciomercato.com says City manager Pep Guardiola would 'gladly' welcome De Rossi at City.

Roma legend and captain De Rossi, who has spent the entirety of his 18-year career in the capital was controversially released last week.

The news hasn't gone down well in the Italian capital and De Rossi has confirmed he intends to continue his career elsewhere.

Guardiola is a 'great admirer' of De Rossi and would 'gladly take him to England to include him in his staff'.
