Manchester City and Bayern Munich are watching Frenkie de Jong's situation at Barcelona.

The midfielder has struggled for form this season and is being criticised in Spain and Holland for his lack of impact.

The Sun says Bayern had a €70m offer for De Jong turned down by Barca last summer.

City, meanwhile, were close to signing De Jong when he was with Ajax before he agreed to join the Catalans.

De Jong signed a new deal with Barca a year ago through to 2026, with a buyout clause of €400m.
