Former Bayern president Uli Hoeness has branded Alaba's agent a "greedy piranha" as talks hit a roadblock.
Alaba, who is interesting Manchester City and Barcelona, told BILD: "I would like my contract situation not to be clarified publicly. Therefore, some statements and reports in recent weeks have surprised and hurt me.
"Many of the things that are being written and said right now are not right and not true. I would like to spare everyone involved in a public discussion, even if not all the details are known. I have never really commented on this subject because I have only focused on our important tasks with FC Bayern. And that was good because we finally won the treble. That was all that counted in recent weeks and months. That I was able to actively help shape this unique story makes me proud every day.
"This club is not just any club for me, it is my home and my family. I've been wearing the iconic red shirt for twelve years, and I've done it every day with dedication, pride and passion, and I still do. The well-being of this fantastic club is above all and is also very important to me. I have taken every responsible person, every teammate, every employee of the club to my heart. In a family you may have a different opinion, you may quarrel, but it always stays within the family. I will continue to follow it.
"I really hope we can find a solution as soon as possible so that the club, those responsible, my teammates and the fans know what is happening."
